Every year the Australian Skilled Occupation List (SOL) is updated. Some occupations get removed, some get added and it’s impossible to know what changes are likely to occur in advance.
We’ve had clients who’s occupations were listed when they started their application with us, but when it came time to lodge, or even before that their occupations were removed. It’s quite an unfortunate situation to be in. You might get lucky, and you might get unlucky. Sometimes, the Department of Home Affairs adds occupations the following year, but it could also be much longer than that!
So, if you want to migrate to Australia via the skilled or work migration programs, and your occupation is listed don’t put it off!
